Gandang day po! Anong mga required certificates po para makasakay po ako sa passenger vessel?
totoo po yon.ka rerenew ko lang po today.expected ko nga 1 day lang ang processing, pero nakita ko sa O.R ko 4 working days pala bago ma release. bakit ganon ang nakalagay sa MARINA SITE 8 working hours ang regular at 4 working hours ang expedite at wala din clang binanggit don na nid ng plane ticket, pero sa marina yung ang hahanapin sayo.

oo nga eh bkt kailangan pa nila hanapin yung flight details mo,eh kung choice m naman mag pa expedite dapat gawin nila,magbabayad ka naman eh at trabaho nila yun diba!

@ Regie Nacis: Sir, sa tingin ko po hindi na pwede. Dapat sa simula pa lang yung expedite na kinuha nyo. Try nyo nalang din po inquire sa MARINA.

gud day po,ask ko lng po kasi po ngkamali ako ng kuha ng nbi clearance gawa ng 2007 pa last na kuha ko nito dko matandaan na yong ilalagay pla ay visa seaman eh ang na issue sa akin ay yong not valid travel abroad,pwde ko po ba ipasa ito sa pgrenew ng SIRB ko?ngayong july ko lng po ito kinuha sa nbi.maraming salamat po. godbless
Yung regular po usually more than 1 day bago marelease yung SIRB mo. Pag expedite naman, let's say sa umaga ka nag file ng requirements mo, usually sa afternoon tapos na yun. Or pag hapon ka nag file, next day tapos na. In short, mas mabilis matapos SIRB mo pag expedite. Kadalasan yung mga nagpapa expedite yung paalis na na mga seafarers.

Yung NBI clearance po na required para sa SIRB ay yung for seaman talaga (green color). Kuha ka nalang po ulit ng bago kasi hindi po yan tatanggapin sayang lang po pagpunta at pagpila mo sa MARINA.
Pwede pa po ba magamit ang SIRB sa October 20, 2013 po expiration o dapat i-renew ko na po? Hindi pa po ako nakasakay sa barko at nag-a-apply pa din. Salamat po sa sasagot.
Bakit po naging 3 weeks ang bago marelease ang new SIRB? nagpass po ako ng requirement 14Aug2012 then ang nakalagay na release date sa back ng receipt eh 5Sept2012, bakit po sobrang tagal eh ang nkalagay nga lang sa brochure eh 8hours pag regular then 4hours pag expedite.

I just renew my seaman book yesterday, naloka ako. Step 1 folder daw is 8 pesos, step 2, stamp 25 pesos, at yung step 4 blazer for rent para sa image captured 25 pesos ulet, tapos ang release ng seamans book e sa sept 10 pa. 3weeks p bago ko makuha, ano yung 1 day processing. At yung babae sa image capture napakasungit uwing uwi na sigaw ng sigaw ng ano b yan di n ntapos.... Tama ba yun.... Nkakaasar lang.
meron ka po bang 30 days para makuha mo pa ung SEAMANS book mo IF HINDI MO SYA MAKUHA sa BINIGAY na RELEASING DATE?????

I just want to verify some information and get some opinion as well. Below are the requirements for renewing a SIRB based from marina.gov.ph/:
RE-ISSUANCE OF SIRB 1.Original SIRB;2.Valid NBI Clearance (visa seaman; and3.Basic Safety Training (BST) Certifcate.Note: Applicants who hold Basic Safety Training (BST) certificates issued beyondfive (5) years as of date of filing of application for re-issuance must presentphotocopy of on-board/sea-service (embarkation and disembarkation) duly reflected in their SIRB’s. On-board/Sea-service must be at least (1) year, acquired withinfive (5) years from the date of issuance of said certificate or from the date oflast disembarkation.Service providers/personnel onboard ships who provide services other than thosethat relate to navigation may present certification of sea-service duly signed byauthorized representative of the company.
However, mine was never used. Hindi ko po naisampa. What should I do? Definitely I'll get a new STCW and some other required documents but which step shall I follow? Renewal or New application? Hindi ba parang back to zero yun since hindi ko nagamit? Responses will be fully appreciated.

I filed my seamans book last sept. 7 sa marina cebu ofiz...hanggang ngayon wala pa....nag due date na sya, kasi sabi releasing was sept. 27... Yung finallow-up ko, sabi..tentative date lang daw yun kasi di nila talaga alam kung kailan mairelease kasi daw, naubusan ng booklet!!!!, kulang daw ng binibigay ng manila ofiz sa kanila....

hindi pwede ung travel abroad na NBI. VISA seaman dapat. Iba raw kasi un sabi sa NBI.
sir is it ok if my nbi clearance is for apprenticeship abroad? and i would like also to ask about my t.o.r..i dont have it yet?, but i have my b.s.t and watch keeping certificate, are this enough to request for the sirb??
sir regarding your nbi clearance which is apprenticeship abroad, i doubt if they will accept it. they only accept visa seaman which is the color green one.
regarding your tor, it depends if you are a cadet enrolled at a maritime institution. if not, then it is not required.

Sir try nyo nlng po tumawag or pumunta sa marina para sa ganyang case. Pero as an example po ganyan din problem ko nung kumuha ako ng prc board exam dahil female din nkalagay sa birth certificate ko. Nagpahearing dn ako para macorrect ang birth cert ko. Pero wla pa akong secpa noon ng nag apply ako ng board exam. Ipinakita ko lng supporting docs like yung decision ng judge at yung corrected na birth cert kahit d pa nka secpa. Yun pinayagan nila. Baka pwd rin yan sa marina try mo lang.

Nakakainis po kasi dahil Grabe na ung office sa pagtatnong sa papers ko.. Dapat po lagi nila minamadali ang pag process nyan kasi alam naman nila na kaming mga seaman laging nagmamadali at wala kaming oras para maghintay sa renewal na days. Baka nga po di na ako i-rehire ng company nito pag di marerelease ang Seamans book ko kasi di ako maka kuha ng contract at flight details kung wla ako New SIRB and Passport... wala bang ibang magagawa ang Marina nyan? Maayus naman kami nagbabayad tapos ganyan lng ang service na binibigay sami.. Unfair naman yata yan..

Ngayon po di ko po alam bakit ganyan kabagal na ang processing. Siguro dahil mag christmas break na or sadyang marami lang nag apply or sadyang mabagal lang sila.

Ang nakasulat sa claim stab ko ang releasing date ay March 04'2013, ngayon ay March 07 na pero wala pa rin ang seaman' book ko.February 18, 2013 ko pa nai-apply yun ah!?

Opo kailangan naka NAC napo ang BST at CROWD management..
Basic Safety Training is valid for five years. There are two (2) ways to do this: 1. Take our 3-day BST-Refresher course and submit the certificate to the USCG, or 2. Provide documented sea service to the USCG showing you have earned 360 days worth of sea service (beyond the boundary line) over the last five years. One of these two methods is required to maintain your STCW endorsement on your MMC.
