Maritime Schools Recognized by MARINA to Offer BS Marine Transportation but with Restrictions (SY 2015-2016)

If you are looking for a school that offers BS MT (Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation), you may consider the list below. These schools are recognized by MARINA (Maritime Industry Authority) but are subject to some restrictions and conditions. The list of schools below are recognized by MARINA for SY 2015-2016 as of July 13, 2015.

The following restrictions/conditions shall apply to MHEIs in this list:

  • Restriction of enrolment to no more than 100 first year students or the limit of the MHEI’s carrying capacity, whichever is lower, for each program for SY 2015-2016;
  • Compliance with CMO 20 series of 2014 (CHED PSG for Shipboard Training);
  • Compliance with CMO 20 series of 2015 (CHED consolidated PSGs for BSMT and BSMarE); and
  • Compliance with monitoring requirements (MARINA STCW Circular 2015-04).
